Book Reviews
Paranoia: Another book by Joseph Finder and this is a good one. Good fiction, keeps you hooked. I think any book by Finder is going to be a good one, he’s got a gift for fiction writing.

The Power of One: A story of a young white boy growing up in South Africa, whose best friend at a young age is a chicken and who aspires to be the greatest welterweight champion of the world. A truly powerful and inspiring book. Do not miss reading this novel!

The Red Tent: “By giving voice to Dianah, one of the silent female characters in Genesis, the novel has struck a chord with woman who may have felt left out of the biblical history. It celebrates mothers and daughters and the mysteries of the life cycle.” -Los Angeles Times

Marley and Me: OK, I didn’t actually “read” this book. My family and I listened to it in the car while driving through the countryside of France this past summer. We all LOVED this story and I completely recommend it if you are looking for a fun-loving book that will make you laugh and cry out loud. It is especially good if you own a dog. I recommend listening to the audio version if possible. It was narrated by the author and owner of Marley so you really feel the experience first hand.

The Company Man: I really enjoyed this book. It kept me hooked and not wanting to put it down. A good one to add to your list.

Hindsights: I had the honor of working with Guy Kawasaki for a few years back in the late 80’s at a start up in Cupertino, CA. Guy is an inspiration for so many people and is a fantastic speaker, mentor and author. Hindsights is one of his earlier books that I recommend taking the time to read. It is a compilation of interviews with inspirational people, short stories that inspire and motivate. People such as Mary Kay Ash, Bill Walsh, Tom Peters and so many more. I read this book this past summer and enjoyed it from beginning to end.

Three Cups of Tea: Excellent book about a local guy from Berkeley, CA that makes it his mission to build schools for children in Pakistan. True story and worth taking the time to read.

The Da Vinci Code: If you haven’t read this book yet... what have you been doing with your time?? Get a copy and read it! You won’t be sorry.
